It is disappointing as we open MS word file in explorer but
it does not work. But, if we open .doc file through MS Work Open facility, it
works. I am sure that it is not effective if you are a person who uses MS word
frequently.
This problem appears because of many things such as after
updating your system using windows update, or installing any program that
related to MS Office. One of them is because the WINWORD.exe is marked as administrator.
The way to solve the problem is unmarking the administrator check.

Go to start and search WINWORD.exe.
After u find the program, right click and then choose properties.

In the properties, choose
compatibility- privilege level. Unmark the “Run this program as
administrator”. Click Apply and OK.

Try to open .doc / .docx
file by double click the file.

If the file can open, it
means there is no problem anymore.
